Nothing is owed until after the survey. If a different machine fits your property better, we'll tell you and quote that instead.
Installation covers siting the dock, connecting the mower and reference station power supplies to your existing outlet, and full zone mapping — not just dropping a box off.
Warranty work and blade changes happen at your property. You never ship a mower anywhere.

On a multi-machine site the RS5 is shared: one station drives several mowers, so the second and third machines cost $899.99 less to commission than the first. Mounting position can add labour where the station needs height to see enough sky — we identify that at the assessment, before you commit.

Will it fit?

The four numbers that decide it

Professional machines are rated on a cutting cycle, not a single run — so read these two capacity figures as schedules rather than distances.

Cut daily — Sports 241.25 acWhole area covered every 24 hours. The standard for sports turf and anywhere that must look cut every day.
Every other day — Standard 482.5 acWhole area every 48 hours. Right for general green space, parks and common ground.
Slope45%Inside the boundary, 15% at the boundary itself.
Cut height2 – 3.6″Reaches St. Augustine height — the only machine at this capacity that does.

Why every mower publishes two capacity figures is explained in the Sizing Guide →

Sound

68 decibels means nothing. This is what it means.

Decibels are logarithmic, so the numbers mislead. Every 10 dB is roughly a doubling of how loud something actually sounds — which makes a gas mower roughly four and a half times as loud as this machine, not a third louder.

Quiet library40 dB
Fridge humming50 dB
Two people talking60 dB
550H EPOS68 dB
Vacuum cleaner70 dB
Gas walk-behind mower~90 dB
Gas leaf blower~100 dB

It is the loudest machine we carry and it is still quieter than a vacuum cleaner. On a school, a park or an apartment complex that means it can work during the day, beside people, without anybody having to schedule around it.

Automower figure is Husqvarna's published sound level. Comparison values are typical published ranges; gas walk-behind mowers are commonly cited at 85–95 dB(A) at the operator's ear.

How it goes

Demo, survey, install

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them. Nothing is owed until the third.

01

Site assessment

We walk the grounds with you, map the mowable area, identify the zones and check satellite sky view across the whole site. For commercial work this is also where we put numbers against your current mowing contract.

02

Coverage plan and quote

How many machines, where the docks and the RS5 reference station go, what schedule holds the turf at the height you want. You get a written fixed price before anything is ordered.

03

Installation and commissioning

Docks sited, mower and reference-station power supplies connected to your existing outlets, RS5 mounted for clear sky view, zones and schedules built, cutting heights set, first cuts supervised. We're not electricians — any new outlets need to be in place first, and we'll flag that at the assessment.

04

Service agreement or staff training

We either maintain the fleet for you on a schedule, or we train your grounds crew and stay on call. Either way, warranty work happens on site.

Where the capacity actually comes from

A 10 Ah battery and 200 minutes a charge — nearly three times the 520H's runtime. That is what doubles the ground it holds: it runs far longer between visits to the dock, not faster or wider. A genuinely bigger machine rather than a differently-licensed one.

One 550H or two 520Hs?

Usually one 550H. Two machines means two docks, two installs and more to keep an eye on, and the 550H covers more than both together. Two smaller machines win when the site is split into separated areas that a single mower would waste hours travelling between — which is the kind of thing the site assessment settles.

Questions

What people ask about this one

What is the RS5 reference station, and do I need one?

It's the fixed satellite receiver that gives the mower centimetre-level positioning. Unlike the residential iQ Series, professional EPOS machines don't include one — it's a separate item. The upside on a larger site is that one RS5 covers a 500-metre radius and drives several machines, so on a multi-mower property the cost spreads across the fleet instead of repeating per unit. Where it gets mounted to see enough sky is what drives its installed cost, which is why we price it after the assessment.

Will it scalp St. Augustine?

Not at the right height. This machine reaches 3.6 inches, which covers the 3.5–4 inches UF recommends for standard St. Augustine cultivars. We set the height at installation for your grass type. It's also worth knowing that UF research found daily light trimming produced denser St. Augustine, not thinner.

How does this compare to our current mowing contract?

That's the calculation worth doing, and we'll do it with you at the assessment rather than in a brochure. The honest version: the machine is a capital cost against a recurring one, so the comparison depends on your contract value, how often the crew comes, and how much of the site they actually cut. What robotic mowing changes structurally is that the turf is cut every day instead of once a week, at no extra labour cost — so the question isn't only money, it's what the grounds look like on a Thursday.

Is 68 dB going to bother people?

It's the loudest machine we carry and it's still below a vacuum cleaner. For context, a gas walk-behind mower is around 90 dB, and decibels are logarithmic — so this is roughly four and a half times quieter in perceived loudness, not twenty-five per cent. It runs beside classrooms and apartment windows without complaint.

Do we have to manage it ourselves?

No, and you can change your mind later. We either maintain the fleet on a schedule — blades, checks, firmware, seasonal height changes — or we train your grounds crew to do it and stay on call for anything they'd rather not touch. Warranty work happens on site either way.

What happens if someone takes it?

It has GPS tracking, an alarm and PIN protection, and it's useless to anyone else without the PIN. It's also a cellular-connected device, so you'll know where it went.

Before you price it up

Manufacturer promotions and seasonal offers come and go, and we run our own from time to time. The installed price above is the standard one — call or ask and we'll tell you what's running right now.
